Some of you may remember the Readers Survey I sent out earlier this year. One of the most requested recipes was a gluten free flour tortilla recipe but a recipe that only makes a handful of tortillas.
Well, I am happy to share that after countless tests, I finally added a small batch recipe for Gluten Free Flour Tortillas to the website. This recipe makes 6-8 tortillas, perfect for taco night or wraps.
I have tested the recipe with a few gluten free flour blends (like Cup4Cup and Bob’s Red Mill) aside from testing them with a combination of brown rice flour and tapioca starch. If you refuse to purchase individual flours, you can make this recipe for a storebought blend but please be aware the dough will be softer and stickier and will require a lot more flour to roll out than just using brown rice flour and tapioca starch.
Keep in mind that cooking the tortillas always depends on your stove and the pan you are using. Tortillas cook very quickly so if you cook them too long they will turn into crackers (still delicious).
And here is a fun video that shows how flexible my Gluten Free Flour Tortillas are.
I hope you are going to check out my Gluten Free Flour Tortilla Recipe and will give them a try.
Happy Baking!
